Teaching mathematics is probably one of the most difficult tasks a teacher can do because almost all kids have phobia in numbers. But with different strategies and methods of teaching, math can be enjoyable!

One way to teach math and to have fun with numbers is through math board games. Studies have shown that when a child is exposed to numbers, they may be intimidated at first but once play and group activities were introduced, they would then develop the love for numbers.

It is now becoming popular among children because aside from the enjoyment they experience their minds become sharper when exposed to numbers.

Math board games have a lot of advantages to the children. It is interesting to play and can help sharpen the brain of our kids. One major role of math board games is to help the kids appreciate mathematics and not to fear it.

There are different kinds of math board games. It can be about four basic operations such ass addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division board games. There are also math bingos and math dominoes. In the internet, there are thousands of math board games available. It is very helpful for teachers and parents who want to encourage their children to love math.

Math board games can be played with 2 or more players. Aside from the fun and challenge it brings, it makes the children and even family become closer. Playing math board games can also be used as bonding moments within the family. In school, math board games can be played during vacant time. This encourages the children to think and analyze which is even better than doing nothing.

Indeed, math board games are essential tools in teaching and learning mathematics. Afterall, math is supposed to be fun, not scary.
